EXQUISITE MEDUSA JOURNAL
A beautiful ladies journal with hard rigid front and faux leather back. The front is decorated with a 3D sculpture of Medusa and is decorated with gold leaf and studded with faux diamonds.
A beautiful creation which was first made as a piece of jewellery by George Hunt in the early 1900's Art Nouveau period. This brooch was made from ivory and enamel and set with precious opals and pearls.
This journmal is filled with lined pages, and also has a spare set.
Medusa is a very ancient goddess who symbolizes sovereign female wisdom, all cycles of the primordial great goddess, the cycles of time as past, present and future, the cycles of life, death & rebirth, and universal creativity and destruction , and eternal transformation. She destroys in order to recreate balance and purification. She was only later reinvented in classic Greek mythology.
8.5 inches high by 6 inches wide approx
